But did you know that the grounds at Sands Point Preserve actually has 2 castles otherwise known as mansions as well as 216 acres located right on the Long Island Sound in Nassau County. It was built in 1902, and has tons of history to back it up. It’s a great place for outdoor activities including walking trails, large grassy picnic areas, and a beach to hang out on. If you have a dog, it’s also a great place for a walk – day or night!

What many people refer to as “The End”, Montauk is the tip of Long Island in the sense that it is the last exit on the Long Island Expressway. Famous for the Montauk Lighthouse that was built in 1796 and still operates for aviators across the sea today. Montauk offers amazing views of the Atlantic Ocean, and is an amazing couples getaway location with so many nice places to stay and great views of the beach. Be sure to check out Montauk Point State Park while you are there.

Planting Fields Arboretum
One of the most beautiful gardens on Long Island, the Planting Fields Arboretum is a historic park, which was originally the estate of William Robertson Coe. The property covers over 400 acres of rolling hills, greenhouses, and historic estates that look like they came out of your favorite romance novel. A great place for a picnic or just to take a stroll through the park.

Apple Picking Orchards
Apple picking is something that everyone loves to do!
